Public encouraged to attend an MCC Budget Information Session

MOHAVE COUNTY – If you have ever wondered how Mohave Community College obtains and spends the public funds it’s allocated, then this is for you.

The college will be holding the first in a series of Budget Information Sessions for the public starting the week of January 20. MCC Chief Finance Officer Sonni Marbury will go over the “ins and outs” of the college budget process.

College President Dr. Stacy Klippenstein is encouraging community members in the MCC District to take part in these public sessions and get their questions answered.

“The college is here for benefit our local students and communities, and we provide many great services,” said Dr. Klippenstein. “This is a perfect opportunity for people to gain some insight into the budgeting process, which is really the engine that ensures the community college can continue to provide such great community services.”

The college will hold the public sessions on each campus from 5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Student, Faculty and Employee sessions will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  More sessions will be held later this spring.
