Pedestrian fatality under investigation

BULLHEAD CITY – A pedestrian was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle in Bullhead City. Police Department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said emergency personnel responded at about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 14 to the incident in the vicinity of highway 95 and Talc Road.

“An unidentified white male adult was struck by a vehicle and treated at the scene by Bullhead City Fire paramedics,” Fromelt said. “He was then transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.”

Fromelt said preliminary investigation determined the victim was crossing the highway outside of a crosswalk when struck by a 2006 Ford Mustang. She said the 29-year-old driver was northbound on the highway and unable to avoid the collision.

Fromelt said neither speed nor impairment appear to be factors in the accident. The investigation continues.
