Pearl of Plants to open in downtown Kingman next month

KINGMAN — A home decor plant store is taking root in downtown Kingman. The new enterprise is located at 426 E. Beale Street.

“This is going to be the Pearl of Plants 2.0,“ said Johnny Walker, who will manage and staff the store along with his wife Caitilee. “We‘re offering top quality plants. We hand pick every single plant. We have rareity and exotics and we do all household plants at the moment.“

Walker said they may add outdoor plants over time. He says inventory is abundant and unique.

“We have totally different plants. You might see some that Home Depot has to offer, but at any given time we have about 1,500 plants on hand,“ Walker said.

He said prices will vary from $2 to $2,000 but that the average price point will be in the neighborhood of $20.

“The back half is going to become a coffee shop and a relax lounge. It‘s going to be a Victorian lounge with a full coffee bar,“ he said. “Come get fresh air. Enjoy your coffee, hot tea, juice, whatever you like, and then we‘ll have some small food items as well.“

The grand opening is set for first Friday Sept. 5. The store will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
