The VFW has two fund raising yard sales each year, the next taking place May 10 and 11, from 8:00 a.m. until Noon, to benefit Veterans Programs. The Fall Yard Sale helps to fund our contributions for the Boulder City, NV State VA Home residents’ Christmas Wish Lists. All of the residents give a list of 3 items they would like to have. Large or small, they try to fulfill their every wish each year. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Casino Night at the Lake Havasu Yacht Club was this past Saturday, Nov 11 at the Havasu Yacht Club. This was a fundraising event for the Mohave County Boating Safety Program whose mission is to provide boating safety to the community through education and volunteer opportunities. It was in 1969 when three enthusiasts of boating thought they should form a yacht club. After the three men put an article in the paper, their first meeting took place at Smoketree School.
