Old Miner’s Day June 8

CHLORIDE – Grab your best gal and saddle up your favorite horse and join Chloride in celebrating the founders of this historic townsite. This year the Old Miners’ Day festivities are on Saturday, June 8. Chloride sets aside this day to honor the hundreds of hard rock miners who found silver, gold, zinc, turquoise and copper in the Cerbat Mountains just east of town. It will be a day of family-friendly activities, including games, a horseshoe tournament, live music, zany parade, gunfights, raffle, vendors, gold panning, and so much more. To secure a spot in the parade call Jeannie at (928) 565-9777 or email jeannieinchloride@gmail.com for an entry form. Vendor spots are available at the Mineshaft Market parking lot. Call them for more information at (928) 565-4888.
