No injuries in Havasu house fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City firefighters responded early Monday, Oct. 14, to a residential structure fire in the 1300 block of Lake Havasu Avenue North. Crews were dispatched at 2:00 a.m. when neighbors reported smoke was emanating from the vents of the duplex.

The arriving fire company discovered signs of a flashover fire and an occupant was rescued from the unit, according to a news release. The person was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment of any injuries sustained.

No firefighters were injured and they were able to bring the fire under control within 17 minutes. Salvage operations stretched over three hours and cause of the fire is under investigation.
