No injuries in airport hangar fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 25, a fire in an aircraft hangar was reported by a bystander at the Lake Havasu City Airport. The first arriving fire company stationed at the Airport reported smoke coming from a large door on a hangar. After gaining entry, a working fire was visible in the back of the hangar which did have an aircraft inside. The hangar is in an area that has multiple hangars within close proximity. The fire did extend from the original hangar to an adjacent hangar.

There were no occupants in the hangars at the time of the fire and no reported injuries to the firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
