Nine vie for Justice seat

KINGMAN – Nine Kingman area residents have applied to become the next Cerbat Justice of the Peace. A vacancy will be created by the retirement of Judge John Taylor late this month.

Mohave County Human Resources Director Ken Cunningham said a four-member committee will review the applications and conduct interviews with the top candidates. He said the goal is to recommend up to three of the applicants for possible appointment.

County supervisors could discuss and take action on the matter at their April 5 board meeting.
