BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police and Fire Departments, along with Mohave Electric Cooperative, will host National Night Out on Wednesday, October 2 at 5 p.m., in the Bullhead City Police Department parking lot, 1255 Marina Boulevard.
National Night Out is America’s largest crime prevention event that enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
“It is a night for us to stand together to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity,” said Bullhead City Police Department’s Community Services Officer Lorrie Duggins. “This will be our 25th year hosting National Night Out with MEC and Bullhead Fire!”
This fun family event is free and open to the public. There will be entertainment, games, refreshments, prize drawings, informational booths and lots of fun activities for the kids, including public safety vehicles, TriState Careflight helicopter, face painting, 9-1-1 simulator, fingerprinting, live reptiles on display with the Bureau of Land Management, and a chance for children to dress up in police SWAT & firefighter gear! Plus, it’s a great way for the entire community to come together to talk with police and fire department personnel about your concerns.
Enjoy entertainment from DJ Loke, Bullhead City School District’s Ballet Folkorico dancers, Mohave High School’s Choir, and Insanity Fastpitch Softball will be serving snow cones, thanks to a generous donation from MEC. New this year, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Colorado River will be hosting STEM (science-technology-engineering-mathematics) and “Touch-a-Truck” activities.
