Motivational speaker aims to inspire women of Impact LH Chamber Weekend Retreat

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At this April’s Empower and Elevate Women’s Business and Wellness Retreat, the Lake Havasu Chamber of Commerce event will be giving women a chance to receive some transformative advice. As a strategic alliance to advance the efforts of proprietors and entrepreneurs, the chamber intends to provide as many opportunities as possible for organization leaders seeking to strengthen their missions. The three-day social getaway will have eight keynote speakers addressing many topics such as physical health, public speaking, financial goals, plus a whole lot more. One of the many presenters participating this spring is Jen Buck. A motivational speaker who has been active in the industry for the past two and a half decades.

Buck still remembers the event that persuaded her to begin this journey. In the late 1980s, she began her freshman year of college in Los Angeles, CA. Perceiving her new environment as being full of glamorous confident women, Buck often felt shy, and indecisive of which academic major to pursue. In that same year, she and her mother attended a women’s conference where the keynote speaker just so happened to be comedian and television host, Joan Rivers. At the time, Buck admits being unfamiliar with the celebrity however, during the seminar, she experienced a contrast of heartfelt fuels that would remain with her in the years to come. “I remember how her words moved me to the point of tears, but she also made me laugh and I never knew that one person could make me feel so many different emotions while uplifting me at the same time,” Buck said.

Later in life, the speaker moved to the Phoenix area where she worked as a trainer in a startup call center. Still feeling that her calling was to positively influence others, she responded to a newspaper ad from a company seeking to hold open auditions for a speaker at a women’s forum. Deciding to take her chances at their tryouts, she beat out two hundred candidates and landed her debut as a speaker for a major event. It was the life changing occurrence that led Buck to reach listeners in the United States and internationally. Now a close friend of a serving board member of our local chamber team, Buck was invited to be included in the lineup of influential guest speakers at the three-day informational retreat. In just about two weeks, the passionate spokesperson will be delivering spirited messages to the Lake Havasu community. Fascinated with neuroscience, Buck blends famous vintage music from pop culture along with visuals of historic films and television shows. to trigger specific emotions relatable to audience members. At the upcoming gathering, Buck is aiming to inspire listeners on becoming gifted female leaders while building their self-confidence. With check-ins occurring at 4:30 p.m., The Empower Elevate Women’s Business and Wellness Retreat will set in motion beginning on Friday, April 17. That first day will include affirmations, a fashion show, and a Reset of Resilience speech from opening headliner Mandy Gill. Ending with networking and shopping, Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 will provide yoga instruction, professional headshots, vendor shows, and raffle drawings. Starting with a panel discussion, Buck’s encouraging presentation of Becoming a Woman of Impact talk is scheduled to follow.

This anticipated heartwarming weekend will take place at the London Bridge Resort at 1340 McCulloch Blvd N.  London Bridge Resort. Proud to showcase entertainment as her method of giving perseverance, the keynoter maintains it’s the essential element that she never grows tired of witnessing. “I love watching audiences have fun with familiar nostalgia and learning about themselves. To me that is the greatest feeling in the world,” Buck added.
