Mother, daughter busted in drug seizure

MOHAVE VALLEY – A mid-May traffic stop in Mohave Valley netted drug seizures and the arrests of a woman and her mother. Bullhead City police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Detectives were working information that Amber Nowak, 31, was involved in the transportation and sale of illegal drugs in the tri-state area.
Narcotics task force members effected a May 15 traffic stop of the vehicle Nowak was operating in the 10000 block of Gold Lane.
“Amber and her mother, Kimberly Rose Nowak, 54, were found to be in possession of approximately 7.6 grams of methamphetamine in a makeup organizer which also contained drug paraphernalia, and items related to the packaging and selling of illegal drugs,” Fromelt said. She said that officers found Amber to be in possession of 3.7 ounces of concealed packaged fentanyl powder following transport to the police booking facility.
Both suspects were charged with transportation of dangerous drugs for sale and transportation of narcotic drugs for sale. Amber is also charged with promoting prison contraband and tampering with physical evidence.
