More information released about fatal crash

The Arizona Department of Public Safety has corrected some information and provided additional details of a two vehicle collision that caused multiple injuries and one death on U.S. 93 about 30 miles north of Kingman. Media Relations Specialist Bart Graves said Department of Public Safety officers responded at 10:46 a.m. to the incident in the northbound lanes of the highway at its intersection with Pierce Ferry Road. 

Graves said nine tourists from China occupied a white van that apparently pulled out in front of an oncoming Ford F-250 when the crash occurred. Graves said one of the passengers in the van died following transport to a Las Vegas hospital died.

Graves said two helicopters were used to fly victims to hospitals for treatment. He said the van driver and another passenger were seriously injured and three other van passengers sustained non life threatening injuries

The driver of the Ford F520 was released following treatment at Kingman Regional Medical Center. The accident remains under investigation and no further details are available.
