MONTE “BUTCH” THOMPSON

Monte “Butch” Thompson has completed his circle of life. Born on October 25, 1947 in Sioux Falls South Dakota has passed on his 72nd birthday October 25, 2019 in Kingman, Ariz. He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother Laverne and Lucille Thompson and his brother Verl Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Carol Thompson, and his three children: son Buddy Thompson (Michelle), daughter Teresa Mack (John), and son Justin Thompson; six grandchildren Cody Mack, Derick Mack (Dylan), Macayla Shaw (Edward), Dylan Thompson and Laryssa Thompson, Saydee Thompson; six great-grandchildren Emerson, Peyton, Cooper, Charlotte, Wessen and Jaxson. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. Butch is also survived by two sisters Sharon Mabry and LeAnn Bowman, and many nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Kingman Unified School District Butch joined the United States Navy as a Recovery Scuba Diver and Ship Fitter where he served for two years. Butch worked for the City of Kingman Water Dept for 31-plus years. He loved wood working, playing darts and throwing horseshoes along with camping and fishing and being around his family.
