Mohave Community College announces Adult Learner Restart Scholarship

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College (Mohave College beginning August 2025) has a new scholarship available for adult learners. The Adult Learner Restart Scholarship, a $500 financial award aimed at helping adult students overcome common barriers to accessing higher education.

This scholarship is designed for adult learners who are either returning to college after a gap of one year or more or starting college for the first time. It’s part the College’s ongoing commitment to improving lives and communities by expanding educational access to non-traditional students.

Application Period:

  • July 1 – August 1, 2025
  • Recipient Notification Date: August 11, 2025
  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • Must be 25 years of age or older
    • Must be returning to college after a gap of at least one year OR starting college for the first time
    • Must be enrolled at Mohave Community College for the upcoming semester

The scholarship is designed to help alleviate common barriers to accessing higher education like purchasing a laptop, covering childcare expenses, or securing reliable transportation, so students can focus on achieving their academic and career goals.

The College has many degree and certificate options to help students meet their education and career goals. People are able to browse the Academic, Healthcare and Career & Technical Education programs online at www.Mohave.edu/Degrees.

The fall semester is just around the corner with classes beginning Aug. 18. Those interested in learning more about becoming a student should visit Mohave.edu/Admission. Fill out the online form to create a student account, and a College representative will be in touch to assist with the application, tuition assistance and enrollment process.
