Man threatens store employees with iron rod

KINGMAN – On Monday, November 18, at about 10:00 p.m., Kingman Police arrested Roger Donald Denny, 54, of Kingman, on felony counts of aggravated assault and criminal damage. Officers responded to a restaurant in the 3200 block of Andy Devine Ave., for a report of a man wielding a large metal pole, threatening employees and damaging television monitors.

According to a Kingman Police Department press release, Denny had left the store before officers arrived. Officers located him a few blocks away from the store. Denny allegedly had entered the store carrying a 6’ T-post (iron rod), threatened two employees (ages 18 and 24) before damaging two television monitors. Denny allegedly admitted involvement in the offense. Investigators did not determine a motive, but believe that Denny was suffering from a mental/emotional event.
