LAUGHLIN, Nev. – Bullhead City police officers reportedly shot and killed a man who allegedly swiped a water taxi on the Laughlin side of the Colorado River Thursday afternoon. Police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said officers responded for an agency assist when advised of the theft about 3:30 p.m.
“The male suspect ended up on the Arizona side of the river in the 1600 block of Highway 95,” Fromelt said. “Units responded and the suspect shot in the direction of police.”
Fromelt said the suspect was killed by return gunfire and that no one else was hurt. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office will conduct and independent investigation of the incident, standard procedure in officer-involved shootings.
