KINGMAN — An area transient was killed when struck by a train in Kingman Monday morning. Deputy Kingman police chief Joel Freed said officers responded to the railroad tracks underneath Hualapai Mountain Road at about 8:45 a.m.
Freed said Thomas Brian Slagel, 47, was dead at the scene with injuries consistent with a collision involving a freight train and a pedestrian. Investigation continues.
