Man injured in mobile home fire

KINGMAM – An adult male was burned in a fire that ripped through a mobile home in north Kingman Thursday, Jan. 19.  Northern Arizona Fire District (NAFD) crews responded at about 8:00 p.m. to the incident in the 3000 block of Ames Ave.

“First responding units were met with a heavily involved mobile home, which posed a risk to nearby structures,” said NAFD Public Information Officer Daniel Jewell. “Fire personnel acted swiftly and effectively, successfully containing and extinguishing the fire before it could spread to adjacent exposures.”

NAFD said the victim who sustained minor burn injuries was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment. The home was a total loss.

Jewell said the fire appears to have been accidental and electrical in nature. Investigation continues in an effort to reach an official fire cause determination.
