Dear Editor,
When I went to school, I was not only taught to read. I also learned to comprehend what I read, which would lead to critical thinking.
Comprehension: the action or capability of understanding something.
Critical thinking: the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment.
Recently, a person took my words and injected his own interpretation to make my statements completely different than written. This is what has been happening in the mainstream media that has been controlled by the far left for years. It would be an exercise in futility to try and explain my statements to this person.
I love America, the Constitution, liberty, and freedom, regardless of how many people try to convince me otherwise. I would never want to live in any other country.
I respect your right to embrace communism, but I don’t respect your attempt at attacking me for embracing American values.
I really don’t understand why people who hate America are still living here and trying to change it. Why not move to a country you admire and be happy instead of angry?

Really wondering about this. Why is everything people don’t like labeled as communism even though it usually has nothing to do with communism? I think the letter writer has misinterpreted the idea of critical thinking skills.
