KINGMAN — Kingman Regional Medical Center has announced two key additions to its executive leadership team: Terri La Russo, DO, MBA began her role as chief medical officer on September 29, 2025, and Liz Burdick, MSN, BSN, RN, CENP will join as chief nursing officer later this month.
Dr. Terri La Russo, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Terri La Russo is an accomplished physician and healthcare leader with over a decade of experience in clinical, academic, and executive roles. She most recently served as interim chair of the Department of Medicine at Prisma Health-Upstate, overseeing 16 divisions, nearly 800 providers, and $218 million in revenue. Her leadership led to the development of a new hepatology program, record-breaking residency and fellowship matches, and a $4 million reduction in locums costs.
Dr. La Russo has held multiple leadership roles, including vice chair of Clinical Affairs and Operations, program director of the Hospital Medicine Fellowship, and hospital medicine chief of Quality. She holds a Physician Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Providence College. She is board certified in internal medicine and serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Liz Burdick, Chief Nursing Officer
Liz Burdick brings over 36 years of nursing leadership experience, most recently serving as director of Nursing for Critical Care & Trauma at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. Her oversight included Level I trauma services, multiple intensive care units, ECMO coordination, and centralized cardiac monitoring. Under her leadership, the organization achieved significant quality improvements, including reductions in CAUTI and CLABSI rates, enhanced documentation compliance, and successful trauma re-designation.
Liz has held executive roles such as vice president of Patient Care Services at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay, where she led post-disaster recovery efforts, expanded bed capacity, and implemented a virtual EMR go-live. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from Mansfield University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern University. She is certified in executive nursing practice and actively involved in professional organizations such as AONE and PONL.
