Kingman Fire Department hires Tim Sendelbach as Assistant Fire Chief

KINGMAN – The Kingman Fire Department has hired Tim Sendelbach for the position of Assistant Fire Chief. Chief Sendelbach’s appointment concludes a national search that yielded numerous applicants. Tim has over 34 years of fire service experience in fire and emergency services.  His expertise, knowledge, and reputation in the fire service is well documented as he has held numerous positions from Firefighter to Fire Chief. Tim is a credentialed Chief Fire Officer and Chief Training Officer with the Center for Public Safety Excellence and has attained his master’s degree from Bellevue University and his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University. 

Tim’s passion and commitment to the fire service and especially firefighter safety and training is evident through his featured articles and high energy presentations. He has served as an assistant fire chief with the North Las Vegas Nevada Fire Department, as the chief of training for Savannah, Georgia Fire & Emergency Services, and as assistant fire chief for Missouri City, Texas Fire & Rescue Services.  He is the former Vice President and Chief of Public Safety Operations for Bobit Business Media and has served as the editor-in-chief for Firehouse magazine as well as FireRescue Magazine.

Tim will assume the position of Assistant Chief Administration on Monday, November 2, 2020.  He will be assigned to the daily administration and operations of the department as well as special projects within the department focusing on a variety of topics including training, special operations, strategic planning, and the development of the standard of cover within the accreditation process.
