Increase in thefts from vehicles

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Police Department has seen an increase in reports of thefts from vehicles throughout Lake Havasu City. These thefts have primarily occurred at night and are believed to involve vehicles left unlocked while parked in residential areas.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department would like to remind citizens to secure their vehicles when leaving them unattended. Locking vehicle doors when you exit, positioning vehicles in well-lit areas, removing items of value from vehicles, and installing motion lights and security cameras are just a few protective measures residents can take.

If you observe any suspicious activity in the community, you are encouraged to call the Lake Havasu City Police Department at 928-855-1171 to make a report. Anonymous information can be called into Lake Havasu Silent Witness at 928-854-TIPS (8477).
