Huge turnout for BHC Cleanup Day

BULLHEAD CITY – Charlie and Andrea Bennett of Nevada Recycling man one of the sites of last weekend’s Bullhead City Cleanup Day which ran from 8 a.m. until 1p.m. at Gary Keith Park. Karen Splitzer coordinated the event for the city which brought in a massive amount of household hazardous waste as well as items in need of recycling due to toxic materials in them such as computers, flat screen televisions and much more. Tires, and aluminum cans were also being accepted with all aluminum can proceeds going to the Bullhead City Animal shelter. Andrea Bennett of Nevada Recycling stated that this year’s turnout was larger than the previous year which is typical for a city that just keeps getting larger every year. Photo by Kane Wickham
