LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Peoria woman who allegedly sold large quantities of heroin and counterfeit pills throughout Lake Havasu City will go to the Arizona Department of Corrections under terms of a plea agreement entered Tuesday. Summer Parkerson, 34, faces a 3–5-year prison term in the deal convicting her of possession of narcotic drugs for sale.
An identical count and other drug related charges are dismissed in the agreement. Judge Doug Camacho scheduled a Jan. 28 sentencing hearing.
A press release issued by the Lake Havasu City police department said Parkerson had been the subject of a drug dealing investigation when officers stopped the vehicle she was driving at 2:35 a.m. on Nov. 2 near the intersection of Highway 95 and McCulloch Boulevard.
Deputy Mohave County attorney Ken Sheffield said Parkerson had been speeding and that her temporary license plate had expired when officers pulled over the Ford mustang she was operating. Sheffield said discovery of drug paraphernalia in plain sight led to a search of the vehicle.
Police reported seizure of approximately 14 grams of heroin, 44 fentanyl pills, a Xanax pill, a counterfeit $100 and other items related to fraudulent schemes.
