BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department was awarded grant funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) for the purchase of two CMI Inc. Intoxilyzer 9000 breath alcohol testing instruments.
“These state-of-the-art instruments are approved for use by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and will be replacing two CMI Inc. Intoxilyzer 8000 instruments we are currently using,” said Traffic Supervisor Sergeant Eddie Espinoza. “On behalf of the Bullhead City Police Department, I want to thank GOHS for their support. These new instruments will allow us to have reliable breath alcohol testing far into the future and will support our commitment to apprehending DUI offenders and making our streets safer.”
We want to remind motorists to always plan ahead and arrange a designated driver, call a cab or utilize ridesharing options.
“There is no excuse for impaired driving, and we don’t want you to see these instruments in-person!” added Sgt. Espinoza.
