Dear Editor,
Another writer argues for the Electoral College system in which she opines, “Without the Electoral college you have effectively disenfranchised the rest of the country’s voters.”
The point is, with the Electoral College you have disenfranchised the majority of the voters. Government of the people, by the people, and for the people, as Abraham Lincoln so eloquently expressed at Gettsyburg, does not signify minority rule.
As noted before, ratios of one elector for 700,000 people should not be negated by an elector representing only 200,000 people in my opinion.
