Golden Valley woman killed in traffic incident last week

KINGMAN — A Golden Valley woman was fatally injured in a May 21 two vehicle collision in downtown Kingman. Police Chief Rusty Cooper identified the victim as Donna Lesperance, 51.

Cooper said investigation determined that Lesperance was operating a minivan when she attempted to exit a gas station to travel westbound on W. Beale Street.

“As she entered the roadway, her vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by an eastbound semi-truck in what investigators described as a ’T-bone’ type collision,” Cooper said. “Lesperance was trapped inside the vehicle and was extricated by emergency personnel.”

Lesperance was pronounced dead shortly after transport to Kingman Regional Medical Center. The 35-year-old truck driver was uninjured.
