LAKE HAVASU CITY – Motorcycle nonprofit Red Iron M/C Coyote Cares for Kids that will be hosting a fundraiser this weekend for families and children in need of their services. Founded in 2009, Coyote was inserted in the group’s title to pay homage to a former member of the group named Coyote who passed away due to a tragic accident.
Originally created for firefighters and first responders, the club has evolved and now has its doors open to anyone who wishes to join. Today the nonprofit also includes family oriented working -class professionals. Red Iron M/C assists children suffering from cancer and their families The motorcycle club acts as a support system to families during these challenging times.
Red Iron M/C recognized the stress and anxiety that family members face with cancer diagnosis of their child. With the ongoing doctor’s visits that parents do, the team helps with daily necessities such as groceries, housing expenses, and car payments. This weekend, the Coyote Care for Kids fundraiser will be $20 per person and $30 per couple. There will also be a gun raffle, auction, gold coin raffle, and 50/50 raffle. Live music will be provided by local cover band Crosscutt and DJ Nutmix. The Coyote Cares for Kids Cancer Charity Run will be on Saturday, November 16. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at BJ’s Cabana Bar.
What may look like a joy ride full of motorcyclists out on the road, may just be a compassionate group of bikers, on their way to make a positive difference in someone’s life.
