Fugitive apprehended in Bullhead City

Richard Leonard

BULLHEAD CITY – An alleged one-man crime wave has been apprehended in Bullhead City. Richard Leonard, a fugitive named in arrest warrants for a number of incidents in Feb. and March, has been taken into custody.

Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Leonard, 21, was arrested Monday, March 25 in the area of Highway 95 and Sixth St.

“Over the past two months, Leonard entered the restricted area inside managers’ offices at three different businesses and stole money, phones, keys and other items,” Fromelt said. “He was also identified as a suspect in vehicle thefts, including an incident where he crashed a stolen car on Sunday and fled the scene. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported.”

Fromelt said Leonard was booked into the Adult Detention Center in Kingman for multiple counts of commercial burglary, theft of means of transportation, criminal damage, plus four outstanding warrants.
