Fort Mohave woman stabbed in neck while holding her baby

FORT MOHAVE — An 8-month old baby was unharmed when her parents argued before her father stabbed her mother in the neck during an argument at their Fort Mohave home on Wednesday, July 16. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at 11:15 a.m. to the domestic disturbance call in the 1700 block of La Entrada Drive.

The MCSO said Wesley Millican, 40, barricaded himself within the home following brief communication with deputies. Officers from multiple area agencies responded to assist before Millican exited and surrendered without further incident.

The 43-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital before flown to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. The MCSO said medical personnel were able to remove the knife from her neck and that she was in stable condition two days after the incident.

Millican was booked into the Adult Detention Facility for attempted murder, aggravated assault domestic violence and endangerment.
