Focus group to address community health concerns

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Mohave County Department of Public Health has created a unique way to include community involvement with their surveys. The organization has committed personnel who continuously seek the most suitable health options for the public.

Just this past March, Special Program Analyst and Public Information Officer Dani Lagana, announced their survey plans at a Lake Havasu City Council meeting. This week, the county department will be making a visit to Lake Havasu for their Community Focus Group.

The meeting will give the needed space for residents to give their opinions on what is working and what needs to be improved. Attendees who participated in the department’s Health Needs Assessments, will have their questions and concerns addressed as well as meet other individuals who share the same concerns regarding public health needs.

The discussion will be followed by a raffle drawing at the meeting’s end, for a $25 gift card. The Mohave County Department of Public Health wants to hear from you, and save the date.

Their Community Focus Group will be on Friday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at The Views. The gathering will be a platform to develop viable arrangements, set aside resources of the community, and create the best strategies to better health throughout neighborhoods. Seating is limited, but can be reserved by emailing Dani Lagana at lagand@mohave.gov.
