
MOHAVE COUNTY – On March 5, Kingman Fire was requested through Arizona Department of Forestry for an initial attack on a wildland fire in Seligman,. Kingman Fire Department is responding with a type 6 brush unit and three personnel, Captain J. Gilbert, Firefighter M. Eads and Firefighter M. LaRue.
The fire is approximately 10 miles north of Seligman, and approximately 100 acres in size with winds that
are gusting at 40 mph. Crews will be on this assignment for an unknown time frame depending on the incident
and any changes in the weather.
Kingman Fire would like to remind everyone that there is a control burn in the Hualapai Mountains that is visible
from Kingman. This control burn in the Hualapais is being handled by the Bureau of Land
Management (BLM).
