
Becky Fawson, President/CEO of Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce and Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club member, spoke at the club’s October 23 meeting. Fawson reviewed the Andy Award winners over the years, many of which were club members. Among upcoming events, Fawson noted River Cities United Way will hold its annual Day of Caring Kingman city-wide cleanup October 31, the 2nd Annual Renaissance Faire will be held November 13-15 at the Mohave County Fairgrounds, and Winter Wonderland is scheduled for December 11-19 at Hualapai Mountain Park. Fawson noted the Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce, Kingman/Golden Valley Association of Realtors and Kingman and Mohave Manufacturing Association were united in recommending a yes vote on Question 1 City of Kingman Surplus Land Sales & Economic Development measure relating to the proposed sale of 1813.4 acres of city-owned property at Kingman Airport, which passed the Nov. 3 election.
