COLORADO CITY — A Hildale, Utah man was arrested on November 15 after a cache of child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) was located during a search at an Arizona business. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said Homeland Security and the Colorado City Marshall’s Office assisted in the child pornography investigation and arrest of Jerry Black, 50.
MCSO public information specialist Anita Mortensen said a warrant-based search was conducted at the business located on N. Pioneer Street in Colorado City.
“Detectives uncovered thousands of images and videos of CSAM on an external hard drive belonging to one of the business owners, identified as Black,” Mortensen said. “Black ultimately admitted his involvement and knowledge of this material.”
Black was transported to Kingman where he was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility for ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Mortensen said a secondary search was conducted by Utah authorities at Black’s home in Hildale. She said additional evidence will be processed, investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
