Deceased pedestrian identified in Bullhead City

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Police Department has established positive identification and released the name of a local resident fatally injured in a weekend vehicular-pedestrian traffic fatality.

Agency public information officer Emily Fromelt said John Girardeau, 64, died following transport to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. She said the Bullhead City man was outside the crosswalk boundary when he tried to walk across highway 95 in the vicinity of Talc Road at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

Fromelt said the 29-year-old man who was northbound on the highway was unable to avoid the collision. She said there are no preliminary indicators of impairment or excessive speed, but that the accident investigation is ongoing.
