BULLHEAD CITY – The Bureau of Reclamation is opening the power plant at Davis Dam on September 27 in celebration of National Public Lands Day. This event provides an opportunity for the community to reflect on the significance of our public lands and learn about their impact.
Reclamation is proudly partnering with Mohave County and Clark County to make this historic day memorable while aligning with the America250 celebration. The day’s event will feature special guided tours of the Davis Dam, showcasing its vital role in providing water and power to the Southwest, while connecting visitors with the rich fabric of American history.?

Residents of Bullhead City and Laughlin are invited to take part in an exclusive guided tour of the Davis Dam power plant during a special free, limited-ticket event for one day only. This unique opportunity allows attendees to walk from the forebay to the spillways, followed by a descent into the power plant, where they can visit the generator gallery, turbine gallery, and tailrace.
