Community unites to commemorate Vietnam Veterans Day in Havasu

LAKE HAVASU CITY – In partnership with the community, Lake Havasu City welcomes all service members and veterans to join us in a heartfelt tribute to our Vietnam Veterans at the Friends of the Fair Rodeo Grounds off Dub Campbell Way at S.A.R.A. Park this Saturday, March 29. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. as we begin the event, starting with the presentation of “Colors” by the Lake Havasu Marine Corps League Detachment #757, kicking off promptly at 10:45 a.m.

A brief ceremony follows, offering a moment of remembrance, appreciation, and an opportunity to share a meal.

This event is made possible through the collaboration of the city, various local veteran groups, and other community organizations, with venue sponsorship from Friends of the Fair. Lunch is generously provided by the Elks Lodge #2399, and uplifting music is sponsored by VFW Post #9401.

All service members and veterans are invited to come together to celebrate and honor the sacrifices of those who served, both past and present.

For more information, please contact Allison Blum in the Mayor’s office at (928) 453-4141.
