Community Risk Reduction Safety Fair set for October

BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Fire Department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)—the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week for more than 90 years—to promote this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work For You!” This year’s campaign, October 6-12, educates everyone about simple but important actions to keep yourself and those around you safe.

The Bullhead City Fire Department is eager to share safety tips with you at our annual Community Risk Reduction Safety Event. They believe that by learning the sounds of fire safety, you become not just safe but also responsible and empowered. They hope the entire community will attend on October 12 at the Anderson Auto Group Field House. There will be over 20 fire prevention and life safety booths, including hands-only CPR, water safety, car seat safety, a mini firefighter’s skills area, and emergency response vehicles, including a helicopter. All children aged two to 12 will be entered into a raffle prize drawing. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon. For further information, please contact Community Risk Reduction Division at 928-758-3971.
