Chloride to host annual All Town Yard Sale festival

CHLORIDE – Chloride’s annual All Town Yard Sale is set for Saturday, May 3rd starting at 8 a.m. The event combines many attractions all over Chloride.

The Chloride Bake Sale is one of the first recommended stops, which will be at the corner of Second Street and Elkhart Avenue. Attendees can pick up a map of all the participating venues and activities taking place during the All Town Yard Sale. Maps are also available at the Mineshaft Market, where visitors can inquire about directions and road conditions.

At “High Noon”, the Silver Sage Vigilantes gunfight troupe will put on a free gunfight show at Chloride Historical Society’s Cyanide Springs.

The Jim Fritz Museum, and the neighboring Silverbelle Playhouse, are also attractions available to visit during the event. Both are full of memorabilia from Chloride’s historic glory days. Cyanide Springs has many shops featuring handmade wood creations, jewelry, antiques, and other unique items.

Other attractions include the old jail on Merrimac Avenue, the train station on Schuylkill Avenue around the corner, the Roy Purcell Murals, and the numerous shops around Chloride. The Hualapai Indian petroglyphs are also located just about a mile east of town.

Food vendors will be available all around town, with Yesterday’s Steakhouse and Saloon a popular destination.

Chloride is located about 23 miles north of Kingman and 80 miles south of Las Vegas. For more information call (626) 483-4571 or (702) 373-8673.
