The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) reminds hunters who applied  for 2024 pronghorn and elk hunt permit-tags that 11:59 p.m. (Arizona time) Tuesday, Feb. 20, is the deadline to update credit card or debit card account information. The same deadline applies to purchasing a PointGuard product. Choosing PointGuard Plus, or the standard PointGuard, ensures that applicants can surrender their hunt permit-tag for any reason, and the accumulated bonus points that were expended to draw that hunt permit-tag will be reinstated (if eligible). The Arizona State Treasurer’s Office together with AZ529, Arizona’s Education Savings Plan, are asking Arizona kindergarten through 6th-grade students to picture their future careers and the education they need to achieve their dreams. The third-annual AZ529 Future Career Art Contest, which launches today, asks students to draw, paint or find a creative way to make an art piece representing their dream job. PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Transportation is using a new tool to battle winter storms: two high-capacity snowblowers that reduce the time needed to clear highways after heavy snowfall. These replacement snowblowers, which are deployed where snowfall is heaviest in the Flagstaff and Mogollon Rim areas, have quickly become an important part of ADOT’s snow removal efforts. This includes helping clear multiple highways in recent days and being ready for the next round of snow in Arizona’s high country.
