Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the Summer Teen Volunteer program for teens ages 14 to 17.  Interested teens must be 14 years old by April 11 in order to participate in program. The Summer Teen Volunteer program provides teens the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of recreation. The program is designed to improve communication and teamwork skills while teaching young adults to work with the Summer Camp participants. Bullhead Regional Habitat for Humanity has scheduled a community outreach meeting to begin the process of selecting its next family to receive a home to be built for them to purchase. The Bullhead City affiliate is part of Habitat for Humanity International which is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to selling affordable houses to qualified applicant families. Its vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
