Deer, turkey, youth-only javelina hunt permit-tags available

Applications will be accepted by mail beginning July 22  Arizona hunters will have an opportunity to receive a hunt permit-tag for select 2019 deer, fall turkey and fall youth-only javelina hunts.  There are 968 leftover hunt permit-tags available for general deer hunts, with most of those hunts being for antlered white-tailed deer only in Game Management Units (GMUs) in the southeastern portion of the state. Picard gets supervised probation and community service

A Bullhead City man was released from the Adult Detention Center in Kingman Monday after he was sentenced for a grocery store parking lot robbery. Steven Picard, 29, is convicted of theft in a plea agreement dismissing a robbery charge. Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Picard confronted a customer outside Smith’s Food & Drug on Lakeside Drive on March 31. She said Picard fled after struggling to gain control of the man’s wallet from his pant pocket. The victim was not injured during the encounter. M*A*S*H program for local students begins seventh year at VVMC, WARMC

For the seventh consecutive year, two Bullhead City-area hospitals have come together to provide a rigorous two week job shadowing program for students interested in the medical field. Beginning July 8, sixteen students from five area high schools in three states will be exposed to different health care careers, from the traditional paths of physicians and nursing to allied health, staff support and administrative positions. Lopez to receive seven and a half years in drug transportation plea

A Kokomo, Indiana man busted while hauling a load of methamphetamine through Mohave County entered a mandatory prison plea agreement at the Mohave County Courthouse on July 3. Cristian Lopez, 23, pleaded guilty to transportation of dangerous drugs for sale. Authorities said the Department of Public Safety stopped the vehicle Lopez was driving when it made a lane change without turn signal notice on Interstate 15 just south of the Utah border on January 19.
