A 20-year prison term has been imposed for a Bullhead City man who admits involving his eight-year-old stepdaughter in sexual activity. The punishment imposed April 4 was stipulated in a plea agreement convicting Ciprano Fass, 33, of sexual conduct with a minor and attempted child molestation.    Prosecutor Jacob Cote said the 2017 crimes involved inappropriate touching between Fass and the girl at a residence in the 2000 block of Buccaneer Drive. Fass hung his head and said little during the sentencing hearing.    Judge Bill Sipe ordered that Fass will serve lifetime probation upon completion of his prison sentence.

Local prosecution of young Las Vegans whose crime spree began in Henderson and ended in Kingman last spring ended last Friday with the sentencing of the second defendant. The 20-year sentence imposed for Aveyon Nevitt, 22, was required in a plea agreement convicting him of kidnapping, aggravated assault and theft of means of transportation.    Authorities said Nevitt and co-defendant Raitasha Antoinette Williams-Gardner, 21, kidnapped an Uber driver and her male passenger and forced them to drive into Arizona on May 26, 2018. A strong armed robbery suspect turned himself in after his picture was distributed by the Bullhead City police department. Area media and social media displayed an image of the suspect captured by surveillance system video during the March 31 incident in the Smith’s Food and Drug parking lot in the 1700 block of Lakeside Drive.    Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said tips from citizens helped investigators identify the suspect as Steven Alexander Picard, 29. A Modesto, California man who fired upon deputies Wednesday night in Dolan Springs was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. Agency spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the ordeal began at 7:45 p.m. as deputies tried to contact Wendell Wayne Odom, 36, about a burglary investigation.    Mortensen said Odom slammed a door and hid behind furniture to gain separation from deputies at a two story residence in the 13000 block of N. A former Kingman resident, now living in Las Vegas, claims that sending improper email communication and a nude image of him to a 13-year-old girl three years ago was an accident.  Kirk Barnes, 53, has indicated that he was intoxicated and that an adult female had been his intended target.    “It was just a big mistake your Honor,” Kirk Barnes, 53, said at his Wednesday sentencing hearing. “This whole thing is the worst that’s ever happened to me.”    Barnes previously pleaded guilty to furnishing obscene material to a minor.    Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle said that the teenager apparently…
