A Bullhead City woman held on criminal charges will also be prosecuted for assaulting a corrections officer following a disturbance at the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the violence broke out last Friday at 10:20 a.m. Mortensen said Lisa Marie Jamison, 38, ignored a female officer’s directive to inmates to return to their cells. “Jamison began yelling at staff that she would not lock down, lunged at the staff member and a fight ensued,” Mortensen said. “The victim delivered fist strikes in an attempt to defend herself. He said he began the proceeding thinking he would impose the maximum…

Christopher Adcox, 30, leaves behind six young children, including 18-month-old twins. Family members speaking during the March 15 sentencing hearing said Adcox was a productive citizen and responsible father before drugs took hold of his life. He racked up an assortment of charges in six different criminal cases that were resolved through a plea agreement. “This year has been a rude awakening,” Adcox told Judge Billy Sipe. “I’ve missed priceless time with my kids.” Defense attorney Julia Cassels…

A Peach Springs man faces mandatory prison after his belligerent behavior got him busted in the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant. Police reports indicate that Danny Powsey, 48, drew attention to himself when he acted rudely when interacting with staff at the drive-thru window of the Taco Bell on Andy Devine Avenue in Kingman. Deputy Mohave County attorney Kellen Marlow said an employee spotted an open container of beer in the interior of Powsey’s vehicle.
