Free Christmas Eve dinner served at Bullhead Community Park

BULLHEAD CITY – D’Angelos Italian Restaurant will host a free Christmas Eve dinner (for those in need) at Bullhead City Community Park, 1251 Hwy. 95 (under the Big Ramada, near the Red Schoolhouse) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until the food runs out. Quilts, quilts, quilts!

Former U.S. Marine corporal, Vietnam veteran and Golden Valley resident John Hoeft displays the quilt with attendees of the Community Organization of Meadview (COM) after receiving a gift from the Meadview Red, White and Blue Quilters. Many military veterans attended the COM meeting to witness Hoeft receive his quilt and “little prayer pillow” for his three years of military service in the Marines and his tour of duty in Khe Sahn, Vietnam, during TET of 1968. Santa’s Hualapai Wonderland open Dec. 14, 15

KINGMAN – Take the family and visit Santa’s Hualapai Wonderland at the Hualapai Mountain Park on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15. Visit Santa, go on an old-fashioned hayride, drink hot cocoa, eat cookies, and roast marshmallows. Local citizen starts fundraiser for LHC K-9

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Barbara Cross, a Lake Havasu City resident, has organized a fundraiser and is looking for the community’s support to fund a K-9 program for the Lake Havasu City Police Department. These funds will be solely dedicated to the LHCPD’s K-9 program and are used for the purchase of the dog, training and equipment. The initiative was jump started by multiple community members wanting to support the police department by donating money to a K-9 program. BULLHEAD CITY – Mohave High School’s award-winning choirs will celebrate the holiday season with their last concert of the school year Friday night, December 13 in the Mohave Auditorium.  Tickets are $7 at the door for the 7:00 p.m. performance. Numbers include an eclectic mix of holiday classics such as “We Need a Little Christmas” from Mame, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” from Meet Me in St. Louis, the Austrian Christmas carol “Still, Still, Still” and the humorous “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.” There will also be contemporary Christmas music, according to Mohave’s choir director Cameron Pruett. …
