Lillie Mueller named to the D&E President’s List

Lillie Mueller, of Bullhead City, a student at Davis & Elkins College, has been named to the president’s list for the fall 2019 semester. Married Kingman couple succumb to crash injuries

KINGMAN – Married Kingman residents have died of injuries suffered during a January 7 traffic accident in Kingman. Robert Fred Naumann, 69, and Joan P. Walsh Naumann, 80, were seriously injured when the Buick sedan he was driving was struck head on by a Hyundai Santa Fe that crossed the center line of Stockton Hill Road. Both Naumann’s were flown to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas for treatment of their injuries. Police said Mrs. Naumann died Sunday, January 19 and that her husband died Tuesday, January 21. Joey Myers named to Dean’s List

Joey Myers of Lake Havasu City was named to the Dean’s List by Dr. Troy Shoemaker, president of Pensacola Christian College, for academic achievement during the 2019 fall semester. This was a result of earning a semester grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Pensacola Christian College is a liberal arts college enrolling students from every state in the U.S. and from around the world. The College has an enrollment of nearly 5,000 students (undergraduate, graduate, and seminary) and offers a variety of programs of study.

Woman killed in single-vehicle traffic accident

KINGMAN – The Department of Public Safety (DPS) has identified the victim of a single vehicle trafffic fatality about 22 miles east of Kingman. DPs said Shauna Delguidice, 40, Chino Valley, was the driver and sole occupant of the 2016 Ford-350 involved in the Interstate 40 rollover reported Monday, Jan. 20 at 6:26 a.m. “The collision occurred for an unknown reason when the vehicle drifted to the shoulder, at which point the vehicle rolled over and resulted in the ejection of the driver,” a DPS news release said. The accident investigation continues.

Supervisors discuss animal shelter, review of publicly-held buildings

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave County Manager Mike Hendrix credits assistant Yvonne Orr and other staff members for successful operation of the Animal Shelter in downtown Kingman. The county took control of the facility last July, following its operation by the Western Arizona Humane Society for the previous decade. “We came across a lot of bumps in the beginning,” Orr said during the regular Board of Supervisors meeting conducted Tuesday, Jan. 21 in Bullhead City. “We still are having some issues but all in all I think things are going well with the shelter.” Orr said shelter operations are maintained within…
