LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Lake Havasu City Fire Department would like to encourage everyone to leave fireworks to the professionals and enjoy the public display held on Saturday, July 4th over beautiful Lake Havasu.   For those that choose to celebrate at home, they ask that you understand the risks of handling fireworks and know how to prevent serious injury.  Fireworks are synonymous with our celebration of Independence Day, but it is important to remember that they can be dangerous.  Each year, thousands of people are injured while using consumer fireworks.  Children younger than 15 years of age account for more…

KINGMAN – T.R. Orr Incorporated is making progress as it remodels and expands the Mohave County District Library on Burbank Street in Kingman. Library Director Kathy Pennell said the $4.3-million project continues tracking toward completion before the end of the year. Pennell credits staff for working through the challenge of operating while under construction, particularly given complications associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. “We’re here to help. We’re doing things differently,” she said. “We’re still ready to assist and go the extra mile to get patrons they things they are looking for.” The 15,000 square foot library that opened 28 years ago…
