The All Starz Academy Gymnastics Team took part in the Arizona State Xcel Gymnastics Championship on March 2 through 31, in Glendale. Head coach and owner, Brandee Proffit said, “The team had a fantastic showing with lots of impressive scores and places. A new teacher salary report from the National Education Association (NEA) shows that while Arizona moved up one rank, our teachers are still $11,890 below the national average and when adjusted for inflation, Arizona teacher salaries have decreased by 9.8 percent from Fiscal Year (FY) 2008 to FY2017. “Teachers in Arizona are called to this profession because they want to make a difference in the lives of their students,” says AEA President Joe Thomas. “That means the state needs to provide adequate resources and support the success of our students, support staff, and teachers in our public schools.” Highlights from…

AdvancePierre Foods, Inc., an Enid, Okla. establishment, is recalling approximately 20,373 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) beef patties that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically soft purple plastic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The frozen RTE flame broiled beef patties were produced on Nov. 30, 2018.
