Walk with ghosts in downtown Kingman

KINGMAN – The Third Annual Kingman Historic Ghost Walk tours will be held in downtown Kingman Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 24 through 26. The tours start at 7:30 p.m. every half hour with the last one leaving at 9 p.m. Tours start at the ArtHub, 402 E. Beale St. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages five through 11, and can be purchased at bealestreettheater.com or at the ArtHub. Some parts of the walk may be scary for small children and parental discretion is advised.

STAT hosts Customer Appreciation Day

KPD responds to suicide, mail theft

KINGMAN – Kingman Police report that an elderly man found dead in a vehicle apparently committed suicide. Deputy Chief Rusty Cooper said the 90-year-old shot himself in a van that was parked on a dirt lot behind a business in the 3900 block of Stockton Hill Road Monday afternoon, Oct. 14. Cooper said it is believed that the shooting occurred the previous evening. There was no sign of foul play and the name of the victim is withheld pending notification of kin. Cooper said investigators are also looking for information that will help them identify suspects in another mail theft…

Kingman Social Club fundraiser to benefit vets, K9 units

KINGMAN – Kingman Social Club will host a fundraiser to benefit the Kingman Disabled American Veterans, the Kingman Police Department K9 Unit, and the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit. The fundraiser will be held at Kingman Chevrolet, 3730 Stockton Hill Rd., on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be raffles, silent auctions, door prizes, and sale items. NACFD receives Highway Safety Grant

Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District #1 (NACFD) received $18,763 from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for the purchase of vehicle stabilization equipment that will help NACFD to increase on-scene safety to both victims and emergency responders of motor vehicle accidents.
