Vehicle accident causes power outage in Mohave Valley

BULLHEAD CITY – Mohave Electric members experienced a power outage at 3:17 a.m. Wednesday, July 15. The outage affected approximately 788 members in Mohave Valley. The outage was caused when a vehicle struck a support wire at the corner of Hwy 95 and Hulet Dr. causing it to break free and wrap around the overhead lines. After waiting for clearance from medical personnel, MEC crews were able to make repairs and restore power shortly after 6:00 a.m. Outage restoration is important to MEC, and every effort is made to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. KINGMAN – Two more inmates in the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility tested positive on Monday for COVID-19. The inmates, currently housed in medical isolation cells in the jail, will continue to be monitored and provided treatment as necessary.
